General description
Congratulations on your purchase of the EyeBeam cane lamp from Seeing Solutions.
EyeBeam is a 2000 Lumen cane light with an adjustable clamp to fit 11mm - 16mm canes. This covers the diameter of the majority of canes, including those supplied by Revolution Advantage and Ambutech.
It has a safety lanyard with a toggle to attach to the cane handle. The battery is rechargeable using a USB-C connector, it is water resistant and features an easy-to-use on/off switch. The run time is approximately 5 hours on full brightness, and 10 hours on half brightness. Charging time is approximately 3 hours, depending on the charger being used.
Orientation
EyeBeam has four functional parts as follows:
- The back face has a power button and a USB-C connector under a waterproof rubber cover.
- A lanyard with a yellow spring toggle is attached to the side of the back face.
- The middle has the clamp that fits around the cane.
- The front or lit end has a collar which you can push or pull to change the spread of light.
Items supplied
EyeBeam is supplied with a USB-C charging cable and a safety lanyard which is already fitted to the light.
Attaching the light
EyeBeam is fitted with a lanyard to avoid damage to the light if the clamp should fail or come off for any reason. When using, we recommend you loop the lanyard around the cane grip and tighten the yellow spring toggle.
In the middle of the light there is a yellow ratchet clamp.
Orientate the EyeBeam so the back face with the power button is toward the grip of the cane. On foldable canes the clamp should be attached to the grip section of the cane to avoid it rotating. Place the clamp around the cane, then with your thumb and forefinger, locate the embossed circles on either side, and squeeze the clamp towards the light until it clicks.
For a 13mm standard long cane the clamp should click twice, but for a thinner cane just make sure the clamp is tight.
To remove the light, pull the lip of the clamp away from the cane.
Turning the light on and off
To turn the light on, press the power button on the back face. You will feel a click, and the light will come on.
To turn the light off, press and hold the white power button for 2 seconds. Once the light has been turned on for 10 seconds, you can tap the power button once to turn it off. Alternatively, you can cycle through the four modes until the light turns off.
Modes
The EyeBeam has four modes, which cycle when pressing the power button, in order these are:
- Full brightness
- Half brightness
- Flash
- SOS
After cycling through all modes, the light will turn off.
Charging
We recommend fully charging the light before your first use.
The USB-C charging socket is located under a rubber cover, next to the power button. The rubber cover is on a retainer so you can’t lose it. Lift the cover from the lanyard side of the light to reveal the USB-C socket.
You can now plug in the supplied cable or use your own. USB-C cables will plug in either way round. You can charge the light from any USB-C port. Charging time is approximately 3 hours, but will vary depending on the charger being used.
The power button will illuminate red to indicate that the EyeBeam is charging, and once it is fully charged, the power button will illuminate green.
Once fully charged, EyeBeam will work for approximately 5 hours on full brightness, or approximately 10 hours on half brightness.

Why recycle?
Unwanted electrical equipment is the UK’s fastest growing type of waste.
Many electrical items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment. If you do not recycle, electrical equipment will end up in landfill where hazardous substances will leak out and cause soil and water contamination – harming wildlife and human health.
To remind you that old electrical equipment can be recycled, it is now marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol. Please do not throw any electrical equipment (including those marked with this symbol) in your bin.
What is WEEE?
The Waste Electrical or Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive requires countries to maximise separate collection and environmentally friendly processing of these items.
